  • Projekt je zaměřen na definování kritérií smogových epizod, zkoumání četnosti výskytu smogových situací zimního a letního typu a meteorologických podmínek doprovázejících je v dlouhodobém časovém úseku na území České Republiky. Studie poskytne možnost hodnocení trendů změn četnosti smogů a přispěje k odpovědi na otázku, zda pozorované změny klimatických podmínek ČR jsou příznivé z hlediska možnosti rozptylu znečištění ovzduší, či naopak způsobují častější výskyt smogových situaci. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována interakcím mezi znečištěním a lokálním klimatem městských oblastí, kde se smogové epizody vyskytují nejčastěji. (cs)
  • The focus of the project is on the definition of criteria for smog episodes, research into the frequency of smog situations of the winter and summer type and accompanying long-term meteorological conditions in the Czech Republic. The present study will allow evaluation of the trends in changes in the frequency of smog and will help to answer the question whether the changes in climatic conditions of the Czech Republic are favourable in terms of the possibility of dispersing air pollution or, on the contrary, whether they cause more frequent smog situations. Special attention will be devoted to interactions between pollution and the local climate of urban regions where the smog episodes are most frequent. (en)
