| - The objective of the presented study was: A/ to explore a stability of the relationships in time away from census; and B/ to verify found relationships between SMR and socioeconomic deprivation index (SESDI) on smaller spatial units. Material and methods: A/ SESDI was based on census 2001. Relationship between SMR and SESDI was explored using correlation analysis for specific years 2002-2006. B/ SESDI was re-elaborated for the smaller geographical units – 22 ORP in the Moravian Region. Correlation analysis was used for testing of relationships between SMR (2003-2006) and SESDI. Results: A/ The results confirmed the relationships between SMR and SESDI in the years following after census. The relationships between socio-economic deprivation index and total and specific SMR remained stable in the years following after census. B/ More detail spatial scale is not acceptable for analysis of specific SMR due to small frequency of mortality in age groups.

- Cílem prezentované studie bylo: A/ zjistit stabilitu vztahů v době od sčítání lidu; a B/ ověřit zjištěné vztahy mezi SMR a socioekonomickým deprivačním indexem (SESDI) na menších územních jednotkách. Materiál a metody: A/ SESDI byl vytvořen užitím dat censu 2001. Vztahy mezi SMR a SESDI byly zkoumány korelační analýzou pro jednotlivé roky 2002-2006. B/ Následně byl SESDI přepracován na úrovni 22 obcí s rozšířenou působností (ORP) Moravskoslezského kraje. Pro testování vztahu SMR (2003-2006) a SESDI byla použita korelační analýza. Výsledky: A/ Výsledky potvrdily vztahy mezi SMR a SESDI v letech následujících po sčítání lidu. Vztah socioekonomického deprivačního indexu a celkové a specifické SMR zůstal v následujících letech po sčítání lidu stabilní. B/ Nejmenší použitelnou jednotkou pro analýzu vztahu mezi SMR a SESDI byla úroveň okresů vzhledem k malým četnostem úmrtnosti ve věkových skupinách v menších územních jednotkách. (cs)
