Description
  • In the study, the cell attachment and proliferation on the films of polyaniline base and salt were tested. Conducting films of polyaniline salt were prepared by in-situ polymerization of aniline using different dopant acids and converted to corresponding bases. The biological tests were carried out using Human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line. To detect the differences in cell attachment, the inverted microscopy and methods of fluorescent microscopy were performed. Cell proliferation was determined using the colorimetric MTT assay method. Results of the study confirmed that the human liver cells are equally attached to both the tested surfaces. However, statistically significant differences in the cell proliferation were detected and surface of conducting polyaniline salt was found to be less suitable for cell proliferation.
