| - Medical-grade polyvinyl chloride (PVC) was modified by the incorporation of antibiotics (ampicillin, minocycline, rifampicin) into its matrix to study the antibacterial effects against Gram-negative (Escherichia coli 3954) and Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus 3953) bacteria. Antibacterial activity was investigated by an agar diffusion test. Almost all the prepared polymeric systems exhibited a strong antibacterial effect. PVC sample with ampicillin against Staphylococcus aureus 3953 proved to be the most effective.

- Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) byl modifikován prostřednictvím antibiotik (ampicilinu, minocyklinu, rifampicinu) začleněmými do jeho matrice za účelem stanovení antibakteriálních účinků vůči Gram-negativním (Escherichia coli 3954) a Gram-pozitivním (Staphylococcus aureus 3953) bakteriím. Antibakteriální aktivita byla testována pomocí agar difúzního testu. Téměř všechny připravené systémy vykazovaly značný antibakteriální efekt. Jako nejúčinnější se projevil vzorek PVC s ampicilinem vůči Staphylococcus aureus 3953. (cs)
