  • The article discusses the calculation of intervention into the aircraft controls for model/unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) trim under different flight situations and configurations using the global optimization theory and computer simulation. The artificial intelligence methods and heuristic algorithms dealing with the system of nonlinear differential equations of motion in a multidimensional space of potential solutions are presented here. The main aim was to find the steady-state flight characteristics locating the stable minima of a proposed cost function. The new approach is presented here with employment of self-organizing migrating algorithm and differential evolution for finding the optimal solution. the method shown here may be practically utilized as for the aircraft design as well as the UAV control.
