  • A managers professional success depends to a significant degree on Tacit Knowledge. By Tacit Knowledge we understand this as the practical know-how gained on the basis of experience acquired through the resolution of profession-related situations. Research into Tacit Knowledge is coming to the fore in various scientific professions and educational fields. It also has a specific standing in a managers daily activities as well as in his professional training and development. In our research, we seek to resolve the possibilities for the use of diagnostic tools and on making managerial tacit knowledge explicit.   • O pracovní úspěšnosti manažera rozhodují do značné míry tacitní znalosti. Rozumíme jimi praktické %22know-how%22 získané na základě zkušeností (především při řešení profesních situací). Výzkum tacitních znalostí se dostává do popředí v různých vědních oborech a oblastech vzdělávání. Specifické postavení má však v činnosti manažera a v jeho profesionální přípravě. Výzkumně jsme zjišťovali možnosti diagnostiky a zexplicitnění tacitních znalostí manažera. Účinná je situační diagnostika a podněcování studentů (manažerů) k jednání v sociálních manažerských situacích. Na základě výzkumu se ukazuje, že má-li člověk na manažerské pozici obstát, musí mít tacitní znalosti z různých oblastí. Především musí získat tacitní znalosti o lidech, s nimiž se dostává do kontaktu. Existují jednak obecné manažerské tacitní znalosti (které potřebují všichni manažeři), jednak tzv. specifické manažerské tacitní znalosti (které jsou spojeny s oborem činnosti, postavením v hierarchické struktuře managementu apod.).
