| - The article deals with International Financial Reporting Standards implementation in the accounting in the Czech Republic. It provides the basic information about a grant project that is under preparation now and that concentrates on these problems. The aim of the project is to formulate key questions of the contemporary accounting theory and practice in the CR in the context of the world-wide accounting harmonization, especially in the connection with the development of accounting after the Czech Republic's entry into the European Union. As a part of the project, problem areas will be analyzed on the theoretical level and then especially in practical IAS/IFRS application. An effort will be to create formal procedures and describe model situations which will help companies to use the harmonized accounting rules. The project will use knowledge of companies that have already had practical experience with IAS/IFRS introduction. As a part of the project, cooperation will run with the Union of Accoun

- Článek je věnován problematice Implementace Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví v účetnictví v České republice. Poskytuje základní informace o připravovaném grantovém projektu zaměřeného na tuto problematiku. Cílem řešení projektu je snaha o formulaci klíčových otázek současné teorie i praxe účetnictví v podmínkách České republiky v kontextu celosvětové harmonizace účetnictví, zejména v návaznosti na vývoj účetnictví po vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie. V rámci řešení budou analyzovány problémové okruhy v teoretické rovině a zvláště pak při praktických aplikacích IAS/IFRS. Snahou bude vytvořit formální postupy a popsat modelové situace, které budou nápomocny firmám při uplatňování harmonizovaných účetních pravidel. Pro řešení projektu budou využity poznatky z firem, které již mají se zaváděním IAS/IFRS praktické zkušenosti. V rámci řešení projektu bude rovněž uplatněna spolupráce se Svazem účetních.
