  • The paper is focused on the role of physical factors such as thickness or mode of processing in photodegradation of isotactic polypropylene. Specimens were prepared by compression moulding and injection moulding. Subsequently, they were exposed to UV radiation in accelerated ageing device. The extent of degradation was determined by FTIR and ATR. Degradation profile was observed by micro-infrared spectroscopy. It is demonstrated by processing history and dimension of the specimens.

  • Cílem práce bylo popsat vliv zpracovatelské technologie a tloušťky stěny na fotodegradaci vstřikovaných a lisovaných polypropylenových dílů. Vzorky byly vystaveny UV-záření a posléze byly pomocí infračervené spektroskopie vyhodnoceny chemické změny. Bylo zjištěno, že celkové množství fotoproduktů, sledované pomocí intenzity píku v karbonylové oblasti absorbce, není ovlivněno tloušťkou vzorku. Nicméně, karbonyl index klesá rostoucí tloušťkou vzorku PP fólie. To je způsobeno heterogenitou fotooxidačního procesu. Dále bylo zjištěno, že technologie zpracování výrazně ovlivňuje citlivost výrobku k fotooxidaci. To bylo připsáno rozdílům ve struktuře jednotlivých vzorků. (cs)
