Description
  • This study deals with the polymer composite filled by inorganic filler, namely clay. Polymer matrixes were Surlyn(R) 9721, Surlyn(R) 9320W and Surlyn(R) 9910. Surlyn(R) is a copolymer of polyethylene and methacrylic acid (MMA), which acid groups are partially neutralized by metal ions. The used Surlyns(R) varied in MMA co-monomer concentration. The reason of these ionomers usage consists in better compatibility with clay due to their higher polarity than non-polar polyolefin, mainly polyethylene. Tested polymer composites (nanocomposites in some cases) contained various types of montmorillonite, Cloisite(R) Na+ and Cloisite(R) 20A and 25A. Compounds of Surlyn(R) and clay were prepared in Brabender twin screw extruder. Prepared compounds were consequently tested for melt flow index, differential scanning calorimetry and mechanical properties.

  • Tato práce se zabývá polymerními kompozity plněnými anorganickými plnivy, jmenovitě jíly. Jako polymery byly použity následující materiály: Surlyn(R) 9721, Surlyn(R) 9320W a Surlyn(R) 9910. Surlyn je kopolymer etylénu a kyseliny metakrylové, jejíž karboxylové skupiny jsou částečně neutralizovány kovovými ionty. Použité materiály se lišily v množství kopolymeru. Důvod použití tohoto kopolymeru v této práci byl z důvodu jeho lepší kompatibility s plnivy, než má polyetylén. Testovaná plniva byla: Cloisite Na+ a upravené typy - Cloisite 20A a Cloisite 25A. Směsi Surlynu a jílu byly připraveny na dvoušneku Brabender. U připravených směsí byly provedený analýzy: index toku taveniny, mechanické vlastnosti a DSC. (cs)
