  • Synthetic polymers play an important role in construction of cabin interior mainly as a surface furnishing components. Due to the strict EC regulation and strong competition in the aerospace marketplace an increased passenger comfort and safety of the cabin crew are at the present time in the centre of the interest. That is why in this paper we present results of our experiments focused on characterization of the basic acoustic material performance parameters, e.g. frequency dependence of the sound absorption coefficient of the articles prepared from extruded poly(styrene), poly(propylene) and poly(vinyl chloride).
