Description
  • It is well known that glass-forming systems are in non-equilibrium state after cooling from melt to temperatures below its Tg. On the face of it, one can observe decrease of sample volume under isothermal condition. This phenomenon is usually called structural relaxation. On other hand, during next reheating of such previously annealed samples, there is measurable overshoot in values of volume through equilibrium liquid line in Tg region. This feature is usually explained by time-dependent nature of glass transition transformation and by its relaxation character.

  • Amorfní systémy jsou v termodynamicky nerovnovážném stavu po jejich ochlazení pod teplotu skelného přechodu, Tg. Je možné sledovat časově závislé změny materiálových vlastností jako je například objem za konstantní teploty, strukturní relaxace. Na druhé straně, se při ohřevu takovéhoto vzorku objeví v závislosti objem-teplota překmit přes prodloužený liquidus. Tento jev je vysvětlován časově závislou povahou přechodu Tg a jeho relaxačním charakterem. (cs)
