Description	The object of the paper is the analysis of the law of deformation and failure of a brick wall of conventional type and size during the explosion of a methane-air mixture beond it corresponding e.g. with the gas explosion in a houshold. In the course of the investigation theoretical results were verified experimentally on brick partitions beginning with the effect of explosion pressures causing merely their elastic deformation and proceeding with the pressures resulting in their failure and destruction. (en) Předmětem práce je analýza zákonitostí deformování a porušování zdiva stěny, obvyklých rozměrů a typů při výbuchu methanovzdušné směsi za jejím rubem, odpovídající výbuchu plynu v v bytových podmínkách. V průběhu řešení byly teoretické výsledky ověřovány s experimentálně získanými na zděných příčkách, počínaje stanovením výbuchových tlaků a jim odpovídající odezvy v deformacích, jež až do okamžiku porušení je téměř lineárně pružná. Deformace zdiva při rostoucím přetlaku způsobují vznik trhlin a následně jeho destrukci. (cs)
