Description	The issue of purchasing medical equipment is very important and calls for much attention. As of today, work to formalize the process of controlling medical equipment is under way. Selection of large medical equipment for the purpose of procurement is a significant task related to the managing medical equipment facilities. The issue of selecting MR systems, as well as of other complex medical equipment, differ from selection of simpler instruments. Difficulties in the process of selecting large equipment for procurement are linked to, 1) decision-makers understanding of complex MRI system specifications, 2) the interdisciplinary nature of the task of selecting an MR systems, and 3) the difficulties that arise from the different formats in which vendors chose to present their specifications. The Authors determined the criteria for assessing decision-making methods. Based on this criteria we found that Analytic Hierarchy Process addressed all identified criteria for selecting large medical equipment.
