  • HRV selectively reflects the work of the autonomous nervous system, it's sympathetic and parasympathetic components, their reactions to different emotional states, which are closely tied to the baroreflexes (responsible for the regulation of blood pressure) and breathing. The rhythms of the cardiac and lung systems have a massive effect on all other body systems and their function. They are beginning to be considered as a link between psychic and somatic processes, where both way transfers are in this time beginning to be more palpable with the use of new technologies of applied psychophysiology. Biofeedback is a training technique in which people are taught to improve their health and performance by using signals from their own bodies.

  • HRV je jedním z důležitých parametrů správné funkce autonomního nervového systému. HRV se dynamicky mění např. se změnou teploty okolí, fyzické a psychické zátěži, zvýšené potřebě kyslíku, při aplikaci léků a mnoho dalších. Autonomní nervový systém řídí odpověď na řadu zevních i vnitřních podnětů a zajišťuje tak integritu a správnou funkci organismu. Vhodným tréninkem pomocí biologické zpětné vazby lze srdeční variabilitu zlepšit. Biologickou zpětnou vazbu lze použít nejen jako terapeutickou pomůcku, ale také pro zlepšení vitálních funkcí a zvýšení výkonnosti. (cs)
