| - This communication falls within the field of %22urban-oriented transit%22 and looks at the role of tramway infrastructures through the transformations of cities in XX. Century, particularly in two different contexts in which the issues of today, however, are similar: in France and the Czech Republic. While at the beginning of XX. Century, the structure of many cities in both cultures was formed around a performed tram network, the game rules changed in the %22all-car%22 era from 1960. In France, the tramway was considered obsolete and outdated, and almost all urban tram networks of the tram were removed to give way to motorized transport. It is only in recent decades that the French cities reintroduce trams in their urban space. At the time in Czechoslovakia, of course, the speed and comfort of the car have also played a role, but unlike the France, tram networks have been conserved and exploited. Thus, although it is far from being a general case, we identify in the Czech Republic collective living quarters of 1970-80 built around tramway infrastructure. In some of them, aspects within the %22transit-oriented urban planning%22, as sought elsewhere today, can be identified. (en)
- La communication s'inscrit dans le domaine de %22l'urbanisme orienté vers le transport en commun%22 et regarde le rôle des infrastructures de tramway à travers les transformations des villes en XX. Siècle, en particulier dans deux contextes différents dont pourtant les enjeux d'aujourd'hui se rapprochent : en France et en République tchèque. Si au début du XX. Siècle, la structure de nombreuses villes dans les deux cultures s'est constituée autour d'un réseau de tramway performant, la règle du jeu a changé à l'époque de %22tout-automobile%22 à partir des 1960. Ainsi en France, presque tous les réseaux urbains de tramway, celui-ci jugé obsolète et démodé, ont été retirés pour donner la place aux transports motorisés. C'est seulement depuis les dernières décennies où les villes françaises réintroduisent le tramway dans leur espace urbain. A l'époque en Tchécoslovaquie, certes, la vitesse et le confort de la voiture ont également joué un rôle mais, à la forte différence de la France, les réseaux de tramway ont été conservés et exploités. Ainsi, bien que ce soit loin d'être un cas généralisé, nous identifions en République tchèque des quartiers de logement collectif des années 1970-80 construits autour des infrastructures de tramway. Au sein de certains d'entre eux, des aspects relevant de %22l'urbanisme orienté vers le transport en commun%22, tant recherchés ailleurs aujourd'hui, peuvent être identifiés.
