Description
  • The kinetics of radiation-induced changes of absorption coefficient was studied by on- line transmission spectra measurement on Kuraray light guide fibers. The samples were irradiated by brehmstrahlung gamma radiation, dose rates were from 2 Gy/s to 25 Gy/s. The kinetic coefficients both for absorption centers formation and for recovery processes were calculated. Good agreement of experimental data and simple one-short- lived absorption center model were received for radiation-hard light guide Kuraray, KFC. The more complicated process was observed on Kuraray PSM clear fiber. It was caused by the reaction of the oxygen dissolved in fiber and created radicals. The results are very useful for prediction of an optical fibers response in conditions of new nuclear and particle physics experiments.

  • Kinetika radiačně indukovaných změn absorpčního koeficientu byla studována za pomocí online transmsního měření spekter na světlovodných vláknech Kuraray. Vzorky byly vystaveny brzdnému záření gama o dávkových příkonech od 2 Gy/s do 25 Gy/s. Kinetický koeficient byl vypočten jak pro tvorbu absorpčních center, tak pro regenerační procesy. Pro radiačne odolné světlovodné vlákno Kuraray KFC byla experimentálně získaná data v dobrém souhlasu s jednoduchých modelem krátkodobých absorpčních center jednoho typu. Mnohem složitější proces byl sledován u čistého světlovodného vlákna Kuraray PSM, což bylo způsobeno reakcí přítomného kyslíku a vzniklých radikálů. Získané výsledky jsou velmi užitečné pro predpovězení odezvy optických vláken v podmínkách nových experimentů v jaderné a částicové fyzice. (cs)
