  • Wavelet transform is a decomposition method using a localized oscillation - called wavelet - for the basis. The 2D application of wavelet transform consists in sequential decomposition of an image, in each step into the approximation (the approximation from the former step at a coarser scale) and the lost information expressed in the form of three details (horizontal, vertical, and diagonal). To compact the information and create a suitable feature vector, mean deviations and variances of details are used. The method was applieded and verified within fractography of fatigue failures. Then it was successfully applied also to classify the dependence of corrosion morphology of the Zr1Nb alloy on time of exposition in corrosion media.

  • Vlnková transformace je dekompoziční metoda využívající jako bázové funkce lokalizované oiscilace nazývané vlnka (wavelet). 2D aplikace vlnkové transformace spočívá v postupném rozkladu obrazu - v každém kroku na aproximaci (aproximace z předchozího kroku ve hrubším rozlišení) a ztracenou informaci vyjádřenou ve formě tří detailů (horizontální, vertikální a diagonální). Ke zhuštění informace do vhodného příznakového vektoru se používají střední odchylky a rozptyly detailů. Metoda byla nasazena a ověřena v rámci fraktografie únavových lomů. Poté byla úspěšně aplikována k postižení závislosti korozní morfologie povrchu slitiny Zr1Nb na době expozice v korozním médiu. (cs)
