  • Fatigue crack growth experiments were performed on compact tension (CT) specimens 5 mm thick, 50 mm wide and 48 mm high. The specimens were loaded in tension at 20, 300 and 500°C on a computer-controlled servohydraulic loading machine INOVA ZUZ 50 equipped with a resistance-heated furnace. Temperature dependence of fatigue life is very strong. The average number of cycles to failure rapidly decreases with temperature, as well as the scatter of measured values: at 20°C the average fatigue life is ~300 000 cycles, while at 300°C it is ~160 000 cycles and at 500°C only ~10 000 cycles.

  • Únavové experimenty byly provedeny na CT tělesech 50 mm širokých a 48 mm vysokých, o tloušťce 5 mm. Vzorky byly zatěžovány v tahu při 20, 300 a 50°C na počítačově řízeném servohydraulickém pulzátoru INOVA ZUZ 50 vybaveném odporovou pecí. Teplotní závislost únavového života je velmi silná. Průměrný počet cyklů do porušení rychle klesá s teplotou, stejně jako rozptyl naměřených hodnot: při 20°C je průměrný únavový život ~300 000 cyklů, zatímco při 300°C je to ~ 160 000 cyklů a při 500°C pouze ~ 10 000 cyklů.
