  • Today, the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) together with VHDL language (VHSIC Hardware Description Language) are often used for designing and realization of modern digital circuits in many applications. That is why it is necessary to implement these new techniques into the education process of technically oriented high schools and universities as well. This paper contains the description of a FRVŠ project and it presents the solution of implementation of modern FPGA and VHDL language into the education of subject Digital Technique, which is being taught at the Department of Telecommunication Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. The presented solution can be also used as an inspiration for similar projects at other universities and schools or for individual users, who are interested in modern techniques for designing and realization of digital circuits.
