Description
  • Electromagnetic shielding materials find their use not only at electrical devices construction, but also at personnel protective aids construction of fitters and maintenance workers of power devices under operation. Standards about effects of electromagnetic fields are published and producers manufacture protective aids, suits, etc. especially for antenna systems in microwave frequency bands, which power levels of electromagnetic fields exceed required hygiene limits. However, performance of protective clothing applications is still discussed in radio frequency band. Research of textile material properties shows different ways of production conductive material. Most of them embody some disadvantage considering protective clothing construction, i.e. versatility, peeling, etc. However, using silver nanoparticles increases product manufacture qualities. Therefore the paper focuses on proposal of construction design of protective clothing structure using silver nanoparticles, standardization of effects of electromagnetic fields, measurement and simulations of such material. The results show satisfactory values of electromagnetic shielding efficiency, i.e. about 40 dB (30 MHz – 1.5 GHz). Considering the most unprotected parts, i.e. eyes, mouth and nose, measurement results of hoods reach about 15 dB. Our experiments show the protective clothing can be manufactured form textile material with silver nanoparticles and with breathable and transparent material, which protects eyes, mouth and nose.
