Description
  • This paper follows one which describes electromechanical behavior of generator unit while managing a rare status of power grid, when the entire system or its significant part has lost electric power (black out). For such cases power grid operators prepare bottom-up process for reenergizing power system. This process usually starts with building an isolated connection of generator unit with blackstart capability (e.g. hydro power plant) and house load of thermal power plant. This article describes the impact of electromagnetic phenomena on managing connection between hydro power plant Orlík (middle Bohemia) and selfconsumption of thermal power plant Počerady (northwestern Bohemia). The issue of ferroresonance during the connection building is addressed. Sensitivity to parameter changes of the isolated system is evaluated.
