Description
  • The aim of the workshop is to bring together a wide range of researchers from the relevant fields of science with the subject matter experts and policy makers in order to create an opportunity for presentation novel methods and techniques and exchange innovative ideas on technologies for safety and security of critical infrastructures. Critical Infrastructures (such as traffic systems, utility networks or communication infrastructure) represent a spinal cord of our everyday life. A possible failures to operate, caused either by an adversarial operation or by malfunction, may have huge negative impact. Protecting critical infrastructures is a highly asymmetric challenge, where preventing rather inexpensive attack require substantial effort on defence side. Often, the protective measures need to be compensated by lowering efficiency of the infrastructure or higher capital investment. In recent years there has been transfer from the artificial intelligence and computer science community to various different safety and security applications, many based on similar methods and approaches. The proposed workshop is focused on a specialized set of methods, based on multiagent systems and agent technologies and its ambition is to mediate a discussion on how these methods have been deployed in various, dissimilar safety and security of critical infrastructure applications. Application domains, not limited to: Transportation: air traffic, maritime traffic, road and rail systems, public and individual urban transportation systems, logistics Cybersecurity: network security, transaction system security, intrusion detection, behavior analysis, covert channels and steganography Energy & Utility Networks: transportation of energy, energy production & harvesting, water management, waste management, food supply chain management, healthcare
