Description
  • The paper presents the design and realization of a tactile sensor, which can detect x and y position of action force in an area of 7 cm x 7 cm and also measure amount of the force. Membrane structure with piezoresistive thin-film metal layer was used in first version of tactile sensor. The second version utilized force microsensors FSS1500 in order to sensitivity and resolution enhancement. Sensitivity of membrane sensor and FSS1500 was 0.022 mV/g and 0.12 mV/g respectively. Particular forces are measured using multichannel data acquisition unit and position is calculated and displayed by Labview virtual instrument.
