Description
| - We report about design, fabrication and properties of the polymer optical microring resonator. First step was to design single mode rib waveguides by using BeamPROP software and then microring resonator was designed by using FullWAVE software, which is part of the RSoft software. The design was done for operating wavelength 1550 nm. The resonator was designed on the bases of optical polymer waveguides epoxy novolak resin deposited onto silica-on-silicon substrate. Two types of cover layers, Polymethylmethacrylate, Cytop, or, eventually, no cover layer was applied. Depositions tests for fabrication of the design structures were done by using standard photolithography process and electron lithography process.
