Description
| - The standard double operational amplifiers of the 272-class (i.e., L272 or MA272, e.g.) are characterized by a maximal current ability 1A. However, such a current used for controlling small engines is insufficient for many ones, especially for those produced by the MESIT enterprise. For this reason, an improved version of the 272 chip has been experimentally prepared and measured that enables a 50%-higher current ability, i.e., it allows maximal current 1.5A. The improved chip has been designed by means of the optimization ability of our CIA (Circuit Interactive Analyzer) program. Both mono-objective and multi-objective optimization abilities of the CIA program have been published in the impacted journal Solid-State Electronics (IF=1.494) in a detailed way. For this circuit, a nonstandard thermal (band-gap) optimization has also been performed, which is a unique ability of the CIA program. Moreover, an AC and offset properties of the improved circuit have also been checked.
