Description
| - Resonant amplifier with adjustable amplification class has been designed and developed in the Laboratory of Transmitters and Receivers at the Department of Radio Engineering. The resonant amplifier can be adjusted to various amplification classes with whatever conduction angle in the range 0 to 360 degrees - that means all conventional classes A, AB, B and C. This amplifier was used to verify amplifying of DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale) signal using OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation format. OFDM signal has high crest factor because of many carriers so that it must be amplified linearly. Intermodulation respective modulation error ratio was measured in dependence of conduction angle for all possible conventional classes. Design and development of this amplifier were supported by the research program MSM 6840770014.
