  • The course Introduction to Biomedical Engineering provides a basic review of biomedical engineering and informatics needed for the specialization at the FEE CTU. The course Introduction to Biomedical Engineering is taught in the form of an elective course and it is completed with classified credit (not by exam). Students who enter this course are coming from the first to the third year of their study (it means from first to sixth semester) in the bachelor programme and they are (mostly) interested in continuing the study in the master specialization in Biomedical Engineering. The goal of this project is to create a methodology for conducting the practical course that covers in suitable range the tasks from area of biomedical data processing (e.g. tasks from noise filtration, signal segmentation, feature extraction and use of artificial intelligence methods for classification).
