  • Power balance and fading statistics are very important issues for advanced point-to-multipoint wideband communication systems operating in millimeter waveband. Since the typical environment is an urban and suburban area a vegetation blockage is one of the performance limiting factors. While the average attenuation caused by trees is dealt with for many years there are not many resources concerning the dynamics effects caused by the vegetation blockage - fast fading statistics, etc. The goal of the presented laboratory experiment was to define basic parameters of a theoretical model. To obtain well defined conditions a radiated near-field scattered by a tree under test was measured using a near-field scanner at 38 GHz. The first phase, measurement of the co-polar field component in a 2D reception plane for various tree types and wind conditions, is introduced. The measurement data were used for the modeling of dynamic effects caused by vegetation obstacles.

  • Při návrhu bezdrátových širokopásmových systémů typu point-to-multipoint v milimetrovém pásmu jsou klíčové statistiky úniků signálu a vlastní výkonová rozvaha. V typických prostředích je jedním z limitujících faktorů i zastínění spoje vegetací. Zatímco výzkumu střední hodnotu útlumu při průchodu vlny vegetací je v literatuře věnována poměrně velká pozornost, otázka dynamických efektů způsobených vegetací, tj. např. rychlých úniků, tak široce řešena není. Cílem příspěvku je představit laboratorní experiment v pásmu 38 GHz, který je zaměřen na měření tozpytu mm vln na překážce tvořené vegetací. Byla použita měřicí aparatura pro měření antén v blízkém zářivém poli. Na základě výsledků experimentu byl vyvinut model dynamických efektů způsobených zastíněním mm spoje vegetací. (cs)
