Description	Není k dispozici (cs) Evaluating various qualitative and quantitative characters is involved in studying the taxonomy of geckos (for example, counting scales around a gecko body or counting tubercles (larger scales) on the back of a gecko). However, evaluating some of these characters is too laborious and time consuming to be done manually on a large number of samples. We have developed a semi-automatic computer tool that analyzes the images of geckos and speeds up the process of extracting characters. Another function of this tool is to find color spots on the skin. This is a necessary step in analyzing color patterns on the gecko back. However, the analyzis of the color patterns is not a part of the standard zoological practice in the field of geckos because there have not been supportive tools available yet.
