Description
| - The component was prepared in means of automation of the gas distribution system located at the experimental cavern USA15 of the ATLAS experiment, CERN. The component is responsible for the monitoring of the state of the ultrasonic gas analyzers, I/O modules, valves, and vacuum pumps used by the project. The system of the gas distribution is composed from three independent branches that share some of the instruments (e.g. vacuum pump). The function of the developed component is implemented as event driven to reduce the reaction time of the system and increase reliability. The component is composed from three main parts - libraries, functional scripts, and panels (graphical user interface) when the control part is governed by the functional scripts that performs automated transitions of the system between predefined measurement setups in order to analyze gas from different parts of the ATLAS detector. The safe and error states are also defined which allows the component to recover the system autonomously in case a problem is observed.
