Description
  • Although the use of higher strength steels, in frame of the pearlitic rails, has led to a significant reduction of surface wear on tracks, the new kinds of materials are explored. In the case of suppression of abrasive wear components can be concluded that surface initiated rolling contact fatigue (RCF) is currently dominant for new materials. The realized analyzes has not directly demonstrated the negative impact of carbide phases in the studied steel running resistance. The availableempirical studies showed that after the suppression of the carbide excretion the bainitic endurance can increase - under conditions of contact-fatigue and abrasive loads.
