  • we have assembled an on-line modular multi-parameter, tunable and extendable coincidence detector array system based on two and up to four pixel detectors Timepix which can be coupled with supplementary detectors (solid state ΔE detectors and/or ionization chambers) for enhanced ion selectivity. We make use of the integrated USB-based readout interfaces, both the USB 1.0 and the new FITPix USB 2.0 readout devices, which provide detector power, control and data acquisition of the Medipix family of detectors. We describe the individual configurations and techniques together with the experiments carried out at several neutron beam/source facilities.
