  • In spite of the fact that both abilities of numerical methods and computational capacity are rising exponentially experimental approach is still very important in the field of heat transfer. It is useful particularly in the case of natural convection in closed cavities often found in machine tools structures because of the complexity of flow and thermal fields. The paper deals with problems related to the evaluation of heat transfer coefficient (HTC) and summarizes recent progress in development of new method for direct evaluation of HTC.

  • Navzdory rostoucímu výkonu výpočetní techniky a rozvoji numerických metod je v případě přenosu tepla experimentální přístup stále velmi důležitý, zejména jedná-li se o přirozenou konvekci v uzavřené dutině jaké lze často nalézt u obráběcích strojů. Článek se zabývá problematikou a shrnuje poznatky plynoucí z vývoje metody pro přímé určení součinitele přestupu tepla. (cs)
