  • Highly concentrated fine-grained suspensions behave differently in comparison with low-concentrated suspensions or suspensions with bigger particles. Regarding the difference in flow properties, mixing equipment must be designed differently for both types of suspension. There exists enough information in a literature about designing of mixing equipment for suspensions with bigger particles or low concentration of solid phase. In case of highly concentrated fine-grained suspensions, the literature is not so rich. In this work some conclusions presented in recent works of the authors are summarized and upon the results of these works, recommendations for designing of mixing equipment for highly concentrated fine-grained suspension are presented. The design recommendations are focused on selection of impeller type, its size and also positioning in suspensions. The effect of baffles on suspension process is also discussed.

  • Vysoce koncentrované jemnozrnné suspenze vykazují na rozdíl od suspenzí nízko koncentrovaných či hrubozrnných odlišné tokové chování. Většina těchto suspenzí se totiž chová jako viskoplastická látka. S ohledem na tento rozdíl proto musí být přistupováno odlišně i k návrhu zařízení pro vysoce koncentrované jemnozrnné suspenze. V literatuře existuje dostatek informací o navrhování míchacího zařízení pro nízko koncentrované nebo hrubozrnné suspenze, avšak návrhem zařízení pro vysoce koncentrované jemnozrnné suspenze se příliš nezabývá. V této publikaci autoři shrnují výsledky předchozích prací, které byly zaměřeny na návrh zařízení pro míchání vysoce koncentrovaných jemnozrnných suspenzí. Práce je tedy zaměřena na správný výběr typu míchadla, jeho velikosti a také umístění v nádobě. (cs)
