Description	The paper proposes information about one research line in the project %22The development of methods for computation of energy and mass flows in the selected ecosystems.%22 The goal of the project is concentrated on the discovery of conditions that provides auto-regulation modes in the systems and support the development of bio-diversity. The basic structure of monitoring system (measurement centers, measured variables and the structure of the database system) is introduced in the paper. The main attention is oriented to Data Mining methods. Two methods are discussed and applied in the paper: Concept Lattice-based method that leads to knowledge discoveries in the form of rules and method based on rough sets, that enables to form approximations of data and knowledge structures. A demonstration of the mentioned method is presented in a database segment acquired from one of measurement centers.
