Sample plates for testing of unidirectional composite have been manufactured from two types of carbon fibre prepreg by autoclave technology. Testing of the composite in tension and compression along and perpendicular to fibres and in-plane shear testing by Iosepescu method have been performed. Optimalization of the layer sequence for unidirectional composite based on the received material characteristics and required stiffness of composite will be given.
