  • Some phenomena of the blood flow through blood vessels could be simulated by fluid flow through elastic tubes. Recently, cardiovascular biomechanical topics as atherosclerosis genesis, Korotkoff sounds, interaction of blood vessel wall and stent or constitutive laws of blood vessel walls are studied worldwide. Our contribution is based on our experimental study of the self-excited oscillation of thin-walled elastic tubes as a model of some phenomena in blood vessels. The self-excited oscillation is a phenomenon of loosing stability of the shape in a tube under steady continual flow without any external excitation. An experimental line was designed to study this phenomenon. Latex tubes with variable inner diameter and wall thickness were used as specimens. These tubes can be used as a model of blood vessels. ...

  • Některé jevy proudění krve v cévách můžeme simulovat tokem kapaliny v elastických trubicích. V současné době je ve světě hojně studována problematika: vzniku aterosklerózy v cévní stěně, vznik Korotkovových zvuků, interakce cévní stěny se stentem, získaní vhodných konstitutivních vztahů pro cévní stěnu a další. Příspěvek se zabývá především experimentálním studiem samobuzeného kmitání tenkostěnných elastických trubic se zaměřením na biomechaniku kardiovaskulárního systému. Samobuzené kmitání je jev, kdy elastická trubice ztratí stabilitu průřezu a rozkmitá se při kontinuálním toku kapaliny bez vnějšího buzení. Pro sledování tohoto děje byla navržena experimentální linka. Zkoumané vzorky byly na zakázku vyrobeny latexové trubice o různých vnitřních průměrech a tloušťkách stěny. Tyto trubice se svými vlastnostmi blíží cévám. ... (cs)
