Description
  • The work deals with study of mechanical properties of zirconia ceramic materials with different surface treatment. The surface treatment consists in covering zirconia matrix by ceramic layer of defined roughness. The layers were prepared by method of spraying of aqueous zirconia suspensions. The suspensions contain the zirconia particles of different diameter and shape. The mechanical properties of the samples by determining of biaxial flexural strength were tested. The degradations of samples in the course of the mechanical loading were studied. Experimental evaluation of the layer effect on the mechanical properties of ceramic materials by comparison of biaxial flexural strength of materials with the surface treatment and without the surface treatment was determined.
