Description
  • During the validation and development of conventional procedures for the residual stress identification new identification method and its theoretical background has been derived. This method offers new approach to the interpretation of the measurements obtained by the hole drilling method. According to the mathematical background, the method has been denoted as %22the signal differentiation method%22. The new method is based on confrontation of the measured signal from the strain gauges to the function derived from the numerical simulation of the hole drilling process. Such function is unique for given material and diameter of the hole and therefore could be tabulated. After the preliminary numerical analysis it seems that the methods provides satisfactory results and therefore it is the aim of this project to introduce the method into practice, improve and verify in several aspects.
