  • As a part of the new low turbulence wind tunnel design numerical calculations of the flow fields within the designed tunnel were made using the Fluent code. For the computations the finite volume method was used. The computations were made for different variants of the computational grids and for the whole range of the exit velocities from 8 m/s up to 65 m/s and Reynolds Numbers varying from 150,000 up to 1 400,000. Computed velocity distribution at the outlet section of the tunnel acceleration nozzle is in very good accordance wit the measured one.
