Description
  • This paper presents a fuzzy logic approach to both localization and description of cracks on a concrete surface. The proposed method was created in order to obtain exact position of cracks. The additional data such as width and angle at each point of cracks are also determined. The detailed description is especially needed in case of comparison between the results of numerical analysis and experi-ment. The method is based on the fact that the crack can be considered as highlands which have to be climbed along the ridge. Fuzzy logic classification of preselected pixels and the so-called climber method are discussed.
