Description
  • Calibration field for lens distortion calibration consist of a several 1 m squared boards. Each board holds several tens of targets used for calibration. The visible side of the target is made of a 1 cm long fiber optic, which is lighted from the other end by a small light bulb. The light bulb and the fiber optic are assembled to each other by a set of tubes. The outer aluminum tube covering the whole assemblage holds the target embed in the board. The light bulbs are connected to the chain, which can be plugged in to electricity. The advantage of such a calibration field over the other standard calibration fields is the pin-size of the targets which enables to get the point spread function of the optical system and also to calibrate optical systems out of focus.
