  • The CBSE, Central Board of Secondary Education, largest examination in India, is replacing mark-based evaluation with a grading system. Besides assessment of students' in the academic subjects, the overall grading will comprise of their attitude and skill towards life. For which the evaluating parameters are their attitude towards teachers, society, environment, and other valuebased parameters like honesty, discipline, courage, etc. All these factors directly affect life and the career. These are linguistic parameters and therefore the consequent grading has to be a linguistic. The proposed grading system will comprise of different linguistic grading for attitudinal and academic aspect of the students' performance.
