  • V klasické teorii lineární nevratné termodynamiky je vedení tepla bez křížových jevů vyjádřeno pomocí Fourierova zákona. Pokud jsou do součinitele tepelné vodivosti formálně zahrnuty vlivy přenosu vlhkosti, fázových změn, jiných modů přenosu tepla či chemických reakcí, je možno použít koncepce zobecněné tepelné vodivosti.
