  • Dosud používané rigidní dříky kyčelních implantátů jsou charakteristické velkou ohybovou tuhostí, která se projevuje velmi výrazným snížením napětí (a deformaci) v kortikalis u jejího rozhraní se dříkem. Kortikalis femuru se v této oblasti přetváří v podstatně jiných deformačních režimech, než se deformuje za normální situace, tj. při absenci umělé náhrady. Negativní vliv %22štítového efektu%22 lze velmi účinně eliminovat aplikací kompozitního dříku s gradientem elastických vlastností. (cs)
  • A human femur is loaded by a wide range of dynamic effects which are transferred by the walls of a cortical bone and has substantial influence on the natural functioning of bone tissue. By the application of rigid or quasi-elastic stems of implants in a femur cavity, the physiological distribution of forces in the wall of the femur diaphysis is impaired, and its flexural rigidity is increased. The increase in flexural rigidity of a cortical bone after the implantation of a rigid replacement leads to the reduction of load in a cortical bone, namely in its proximal part. Our effort is aimed at minimizing a %22shield effect%22 that arises in this way, and at the maximum possible approximation to the natural transition of the stress that is typical of a sound bone.
