| - Pohyb tří herbicidů, jednho insekticidu a fungicidu v různých tropických půdách byl předmětem rozsáhlého výzkumného projektu. Koncentrace pesticidů běžné pro zemedělských účely byly aplikované na zoraný půdní povrch. V rámci projektu bylo vytypováno celkem pět experimentálních stanovišť s různými topografickými, klimatickými a pedologickými podmínkami na třech ostrovech státu Hawaii: Oahu, Maui a Kauai. Každé stanoviště bylo rozděleno na čtyři plochy; na dvou se aplikovaly herbicidy a na zbylých dvou fungicid a insekticid. Jeden den po aplikaci chemických látek byly odebrány porušené vzorky k chemické analýze. Další odběry vzorků následovaly v pravidelných intervalech po dobu čtyř měsíců. Analýzou porušených půdních vzorků až do hloubky 2.1 m se získaly koncentrační profily jednotlivých látek v čase. Další laboratorní experimenty právě probíhají v laboratoři, jedná se hlavně o sorpční zkoušky a degradační pokus na vybraných pesticidech. (cs)

Label rates of these chemicals for agriculture or insecticidal use were applied to tilled soils. Five test sites at differing topographic, climatic and soil conditions were selected in the Hawaiian islands: three on Oahu, one on Maui and one on Kauai. Each site had four test plots; two for herbicides and two for insecticide/fungicide. Disturbed soil samples were collected on the day after pesticide application and in one to four week intervals for four months. Soil hydraulic and climatic data from each site were collected during the same period. Soil samples collected in the field to a depth of 2.1 m were analyzed for content of the chemicals, yielding concentration profiles for elapsed times of 1 day to 16 weeks. In addition, laboratory tests on the sorption and degradation of the chemical compounds are being carried out.
