Description	During the rehabilitation of historical buildings attacked by moisture, the continuously increasing emphasis is put on the non-destructive approach of the methods used. The Method based on the existence of the electrokinetics phenomenon (e.g. electroosmosis) belongs to the advisable methods in this field. The cylindrical core samples taken from the historical clay bricks are placed into the electric field in order to asssess the volume of the transported water after three months of electroosmotic action. At the end of the testing period, the volume of transported water in each of ten parts of the tested samples was analysed in the gravimetric way and compared with the initial state. During the trhree months time period of electroosmotic application, 5% from the total volume of the embeded water were transported in the intended direction. The satisfactory volume of the transported water should be considered in the particular buildings.
