To study the infiltration in detail, visualization of the water flow was suggested. Recent progress in using of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of soils, demonstrated the potential of this method in detection of the preferential flow. MRI is capable to detect the water directly without any tracer. Samples were scanned to obtain 2D vertical projection of the signal distribution of magnetic .
