  • Numericky je analyzována lubrikace kotníku člověka při chůzi. Synoviální kapalina a kloubní chrupavka jsou uvažovány jako dvoufázové směsi. Ve středu kontaktu a poblíž kulminace zatížení v každém kroku se synoviální kapalina vyfiltruje v synoviální gel, aby se kráce nato opět změnila v kapalinu. Tlouštka synoviálního gelu je zachována při normální chrupavce, avšak není tomu tak v patologickém případě. (cs)
  • Squeeze-film lubrication of the human ankle joint during walking is numerically analyzed, both synovial fluid and articular cartilage being considered as biphasic mixtures. At the contact center and near the load culmination of each step, the synovial fluid is turned into a synovial gel and, shortly after, changed back again into a fluid. For normal cartilage the gel film thickness is preserved, however, the gel layer is guickly depleted in the pathological case.
