Description	Cílem práce je vyhodnotit dopady horkých letních období na úmrtnost v ČR a kvantifikovat velikost vlivu krátkodobých posunů, které vedou k nižší úmrtnosti po horkých vlnách. Analýza pokrývá období 1982-2000, během něhož se ve střední Evropě vyskytlo několik mimořádně horkých letních sezón. Efekt posunu úmrtnosti hraje významnou úlohu, neboť úmrtnost je po horkých obdobích nižší (cs) The aims of this study were to assess impacts of hot summer periods on mortality in the Czech Republic and to quantify the size of the short-term displacement effect which resulted in lower than expected mortality after heat waves. The analysis covered the period 1982-2000 when several extraordinarily hot summers occurred in central Europe.
